Our lovely wee town is one of those places where everybody knows your name. Hettie always says it takes five times as long to nip out to the shops, what with all the people wanting to say “Hello” and have a quick natter.
And we’re just as welcoming to our visitors too. In summer our town swells from 2,600 people to over 12,000 and there’s a great holiday vibe to the place.
I’ll bet you’re wondering why so many people come here, aren’t you? What on earth is there to do in Pitlochry? Well, a better question is… What isn’t there to do in Pitlochry?”
People come here to enjoy the great outdoors, to see a play at the fab-u-lous Pitlochry Festival Theatre, to sup a dram or two of whisky in one of our distilleries and to see the impressive fish ladder at Loch Faskally.
This Victorian Spa town is crammed to the rafters with great independent shops, restaurants and bars, and we’ve loads of accommodation, from a luxury spa hotel, through to picturesque campsites where you can pitch your tent, and everything else in between.
